White Lipped Snake
Drysdalia coronoides
Description:
Variable in colour. Reddish brown through to olive-green or dark grey, belly usually pink or orange. White stripe from nostril through upper lip to side of neck.
Habits:Little known. Usually nocturnal but sometimes forages during the day. Prefering tussock grasslands with heavy cover.
