Eastern Small Eyed Snake
Rhinoplocephalus nigrescens
Description:
Uniform glossy black to dark grey on the head and back with cream to bright pink belly often with blotches. Grows to 50cm but has been recorded at 1 metre
Habits:A secretive and nocturnal snake, rare in the western regions of Melbourne. Habitats include rainforest,coastal heath, woodlands, and rock outcrops
