Little Whip Snake
Suta Flagellum
Description:
Light tan to brown with dark base to each scale and black head broken by pale bar across snout between nostril and eye. Side of head yellowish brown to cream. Belly creamish white to brown. Often mistaken for juvinile Eastern Brown Snakes.
Habits:
A small(45cm), secretive and nocturnal snake. Adults are often uncovered in pairs or small groups. found mainly in eucalypt woodland and grasslands, prefering stony areas.
